It’s time to get the girls together again! Every year women from across Southern California gather to worship, fellowship, and have fun! 

During Women's Conference, you will hear encouraging messages from our amazing guest speaker, join workshops on a variety of topics like ceramics, marriage, and more, and be surrounded by like-minded believers that are ready to speak God's all-surpassing power over you!

Workshops

This year, there is no need to register for Workshops ahead of time.

Workshop sign-ups will be available at the registration table on March 17 & 18.

The Spiritual Practice of Journaling (additional $5 charge)

Led by Hadley Halbert

 

If you are looking for a new way to engage in worship and add a creative touch to your prayer life, join this workshop and dive into the spiritual practice of journaling!

Hadley is a recent Alumni of PLNU having earned a BSA in Business Marketing. She now works full-time as the Chapel Programming Assistant at Point Loma as well as serving on staff at Mission Nazarene as a college pastor. She is pursuing ordination in the Church of the Nazarene and working on completing her Masters of Christian Ministry through PLNU.

Creating a Retreat

Led by Dr. Mary Paul

 

This workshop will explore ways in which we can prayerfully carve out a creative retreat experience that is tailored to our schedules, personalities, experiences, and deep hungers. (Matthew 11:28-30)

Rev. Dr. Mary Paul presently serves as the Vice President of Student Life and Formation at PLNU. Before this, she taught Christian Ministry at Olivet Nazarene University and served in several churches in New England. In all her ministry roles she has always been engaged in the creation of spiritual retreats.

Treasure Hunt for Jesus

Led by Jen Williams

Join this workshop to learn how to treasure hunt for Jesus. We will dig deep in the scripture to reveal how we can have the eyes of Christ and how to have others encounter Christ in us.

Jen Williams is the Southern California District NMI President with a passion for missions. Jen also holds a degree in Missiology from NNU. She is currently serving alongside her husband Greg Williams at Apple Valley Church of the Nazarene. "Above all, I love learning how to be more like Jesus so that others may know His love!"

Stepping into your Call with GPS – God’s Plan Solely

Led by Joy Straub

 

What is God’s call on your life? Have you fully stepped into it? Join us as we study the book of Joshua and identify key steps to follow as we go where the Lord has ordained. 

Joy Straub is Pastor’s Wife at Radiant Life Nazarene in Rancho Penasquitos as well as the Southern California District NDI President. Currently, she is teaching high school math at Mission Vista HS. When this school year ends, Joy will be retiring from the public school system with 35 years as a teacher or principal.

Living Empowered

Led by Jenny Aldana

 

In this workshop, we will learn important biblical truths and how to navigate daily life as we become better bearers of the greatest treasure... the Holy Spirit.

Rev. Jenny Aldana Guerra, originally from Guatemala, is a third-generation pastor. She earned her Master of Divinity from Azusa Pacific University. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry at APU; she serves as co-pastor at Escondido Nazarene with her husband Rev. Joel Guerra.

Sharing your Testimony

Led by Chrystina Sayers

During this workshop, Chrystina Sayers will be sharing her testimony as well as sharing tips on how to share a testimony.

Since her ventures in the secular entertainment business realm for over 10 years Chrystina discovered that her relationship with Jesus Christ was all that mattered. Today, she is a worship leader, ministry leader, and is currently getting her degree at a Christian University for Worship and Ministry.

Understanding Oneself: Self-care & Self-love

Led by Neth Plantilla

This workshop will help us do some introspection and enhance our self-awareness. 

Mother of three, a Pastor’s wife, and a Pastor herself, Neth is an ordained elder of the Church of the Nazarene. Master Educator by profession with a specialty in Special Education. Nenita is currently assigned as one of the ministers in CrossCulture Faith Community and director of Caring Hands Ministry, the compassionate ministry arm of the local church.

The Power that Lives in Me

Led by Azucena Ayala

Your relationship with Christ gives your life an incomparable amount of value! In this workshop, we will talk about the wisdom and knowledge that is available to you through Christ.  

From San Vicente, El Salvador, Azucena studied Biology at the National University in El Salvador. She has also studied biblical theology at the Central American Mission Bible Institute. She served as a deacon for fifteen years and currently attends

Gateway Church of the Nazarene in Murrieta, California.
