District Training Center

Peter's Logo color.jpg

The Socal District Training Center aims to offer the highest quality option for those who seek biblically based, practical pastoral training for ordination.

Our courses are far cheaper than at any school you might attend, but they're more expensive than what you may be used to in the past with district training. This is because we aim to have the best possible quality in courses without the campus and administrative costs. (We expect the best from our teachers and want to pay them fairly.)

We encourage churches to help pay student fees.

We offer scholarships to those who need them.

Dr. Paul Hobbs is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene with over 25 years of pastoral experience. His education includes degrees in Biblical Studies, Religion, and Organizational Leadership. He believes that the theology and science of leadership are vital. God has called and gifted him to be a resource for those seeking or holding positions of leadership, and to educate and train the next generation of leaders. Because God has done so, Dr. Hobbs has a responsibility and a desire to pass on the knowledge gained through pastoral ministry, teaching and academic achievements.

In addition to his work in ministry, he finds purpose and meaning as a husband, father, and grandfather. His family is his source of strength and peace. He believes that God has blessed him immeasurably and he seeks to live a life of gratitude and obedience, serving his family and the church.
