Reaching the Community (Colton)

On August 27th, Faithway Fellowship Church of the Nazarene was a part of an incredible community outreach event at Cesar Chavez Park in Colton,CA. The outreach was in partnership with two local churches and a local men's ministry. (Echoes of Love Church, Lighthouse Church of Christ, and 3:16 Ministries)

Highlights from the event:

• Lunch was served to over 200 people.

• Gift cards for gas, groceries, fast food establishments, and Target were handed out. In total, over $500 in gift cards were given away!

• 97 backpacks filled with school supplies were given away.

• 20 backpacks filled with school supplies as well as English & Spanish bibles were sent to Mexico with a Pastor who stopped by at the event.

• There was a table for Autism Awareness as well as a prayer booth.

Faithway Fellowship also shared, "Throughout the day, many pastors gave testimonies, sharing encouraging words of hope. Faithway Fellowship members were able to pray with several people, including a woman named Kim struggling with heroin addiction.

The love of Jesus was evident all around, and four individuals who attended the outreach joined us for church the following Sunday! Glory to God!"
