Revival & Renewal in Hemet
In recent months, Hemet Church of the Nazarene has become the setting for a powerful move of God that reminds us again of what matters most: lost and broken people matter deeply to God, and therefore they must matter to us. Three fresh works of the Spirit have highlighted this truth—a Revival at Hemet Nazarene, the launch of Submission Sunday in a local gym, and a new community ministry called Bless Our Block.
Revival at Hemet Nazarene
The Revival at Hemet Nazarene was marked by the strong preaching and passionate call to faith from Dr. Norman Moore. His Spirit-led messages, paired with heartfelt worship and fervent prayer, stirred hearts toward repentance, renewal, and deeper obedience to Christ.
People responded at the altars, and lives were changed as the presence of God moved powerfully through the congregation. It was a clear reminder that revival is not just an event—it is an invitation to ongoing transformation.

Submission Sunday: Church on the Mats
Flowing from the same season of spiritual hunger, a new ministry called Submission Sunday was launched in a local jiu-jitsu gym. Sparked by the vision of a worship guitarist who also coaches there, the idea was simple: invite athletes to arrive early for a Bible study before training. With introductory material prepared for new believers, gym members gathered on the mats to hear God’s Word, pray, and encourage one another.
The message was clear—true submission is more than a grappling move; it is the surrender of our hearts to Jesus Christ.
Bless Our Block
Another expression of the church’s mission is Bless Our Block, a monthly outreach in downtown Hemet. On the third Saturday of each month, volunteers set up a grill and resource tent at the local park. There, neighbors can stop by for a hot dog, a cup of coffee, or a cold drink, while also receiving hygiene kits, Bibles, and prayer.
This ministry flows directly from Pastor Tony’s vision to reach the underprivileged of Hemet and demonstrates the church’s commitment to meeting both physical and spiritual needs in the community.
From the pulpit to the gym mats to the city park, God is reminding us of what matters most: people encountering the hope and healing of Jesus. Whether through the Revival services, Submission Sunday, or Bless Our Block, the Spirit is at work in Hemet, calling people to faith and new life.
Let us continue to pray that this movement multiplies—that churches, gyms, and neighborhoods across our district would be filled with the transforming presence of Christ.
“Be courageous, daughter,” He said. “Your faith has made you well.” (Matthew 9:22)
